I skipped ahead to book four because I had read about Lizzie Halliday in another true crime collection and wanted to know more. I have my theory about whether she was an insane or just a conniving killer but I'll keep them to myself. I have to say I'm really enjoying this series, particularly the pictures, drawings, and newspaper engravings included. They give a sense of being there (albeit at a safe distance). Hope the author puts out audiobooks versions because these would be cool gifts.
This was the second book I read in the Dead True Crime Series by C. J. March. A friend recommended the series and these are great short reads that pack quite a punch in terms of the characters, storyline and research. If you're looking for a shorter read but still want depth and quality to keep you reading until the end, give this book a shot. My guess is that you'll be like me and adding the others in the series as well!
